visió alterada

/2024
Altered Vision explores new possibilities for visually representing the natural environment through the use of reflections, applying experimental techniques that disrupt conventional perception. Three types of experimental processes are carried out: The first is based on capturing images using reflective sheets integrated into the camera; the second focuses on generating visuals by altering video recordings through programming; and the third involves projecting reflections onto moving surfaces that transform spatial perception. These explorations are interconnected through reflection as both a conceptual foundation and narrative thread. The project culminates in three distinct outcomes that challenge preconceived interpretations of the environment and enrich the dialogue between technology, design, and nature.

EX_01. REFLECTIVE SHEETS
Images captured using reflective surfaces attached to the camera, such as a silver cardboard tray, silver metallic vinyl, and a polished, hammered stainless steel sheet.

EX_02. REFLECTION THROUGH PROGRAMMING
Video recordings processed through node-based programming in TouchDesigner, generating new visuals via digital manipulation.

EX_03. REFLECTIVE PROJECTION
A reflective PVC sheet mounted on a frame with two servomotors programmed with Arduino that alter the projection of the videos.
